Our Mission
Fostering Historical Preservation
Our recreation of the 15th Regiment's Light Infantry Company is an exercise in experimental archaeology rooted in living history, cultural preservation, and honor for those who served. We practice drill, perform on period musical instruments, construct authentic uniforms, and camp in the same manner as the original company. Artwork, artifacts, and documents guide our impression. The study of 18th century British culture and its fascination with Greco-Roman antiquity illuminates this further. For example, the decorative star on our cap hats represents the Star of Venus and the bearskin affixed to our slouch hats represents Diana, the goddess of the hunt.
Besides the friendship and camaraderie we enjoy our company is dedicated to recreating a rare glimpse in time that preserves our British-American heritage
